Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, from Mexico was born to the music-loving parents of her family. Growing up, she listened to many classical music and older Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana loves tangos and opera, as well as all dramatic performances. Ana started learning how to play the piano and sing in the early years alongside her mother. The formal singing instruction when she was 16 years old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She studied in Guadalajara at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca at Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. The beginning of her professional career saw her perform with many orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs in Guadalajara. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She is currently performing traditional Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. She is involved with many local organizations in both teaching and performer, because of her passion for music and arts. Ana is also an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as and members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her performance of Latin American traditional songs, that she can bring about a desire, specifically in the younger generations, for keeping this music alive.
